Guest Information

Attending the powwow

Is admission free?

Yes. Admission to Dance by the River Powwow is free.

Can non-Native people attend?

Yes. Non-Native guests are welcome and asked to follow event guidance and participate respectfully.

Can I bring my own lawn chair?

Yes. Guests should bring their own lawn chairs for comfortable seating in the park.

Is elder seating available?

Yes. Designated elder seating will be available.

Are pets allowed?

Only service animals are permitted.

Is handicap parking available?

Yes. Handicap parking is available on East Shiawassee Street.

Is electricity available?

Electricity is available for approved vendor booths. Vendors should disclose their electrical needs during registration.

Can I camp overnight?

No. Overnight camping, sleeping in vehicles, and overnight occupancy of the powwow grounds are strictly prohibited and will be enforced.

Is security provided?

Yes. Overnight security will be provided.

Can I take photographs?

Photography is permitted unless otherwise announced by the MC.

Vendor Information

Vendor FAQ

Are vendor fees refundable?

No. All vendor fees are non-refundable.

When may vendors begin setup?

Vendors may begin setup Friday, September 25 at 3:00 PM.

When must vendors be onsite?

Vendors must be onsite no later than 9:00 AM Saturday.

Where do vendors unload?

Booth assignments and unloading instructions will be provided before vendors unload.

Who is responsible for host hotel reservations?

Host hotel reservations are the responsibility of each participant.

What is required at hotel check-in?

A credit card is required at hotel check-in.
